In this guide, you’ll learn how to add credits to your wallet using a promotional code in the Commert Admin. Use a promotional code to add promotional credits (separate from paid credits). The system validates the code before applying it.

Steps to redeem

  1. Go to Wallet → Add credits.
  2. Open the Promotional code tab.
  3. Enter your code and select Apply.
  4. The system validates code eligibility, usage limits, and expiry. If valid, the credits are added instantly; if not, you’ll see why it failed.
  5. Check your updated balance and the new transaction in history.
Apply Promo Code
  • They may have usage limits, expiry dates, or be restricted to specific events.
  • Promotional credits are consumed before paid credits where allowed.
  • If you cancel an order that used promotional credits, refunds follow the same percentage logic and return to the promotional balance when applicable.
Keep an eye on the promotional/marketing campaigns to get the promotional codes.

Troubleshooting

  • Code expired or used up: Try another code or switch to payment gateway.
  • Mismatch with expected amount: Codes can carry fixed amounts (for example, 100 credits) or conditions. Check the campaign details.
  • Service on hold: Applying a valid code can lift a hold if it covers pending charges.
