In this guide, you’ll learn how to add credits to your wallet using a promotional code in the Commert Admin.
Use a promotional code to add promotional credits (separate from paid credits). The system validates the code before applying it.
Steps to redeem
- Go to Wallet → Add credits.
- Open the Promotional code tab.
- Enter your code and select Apply.
- The system validates code eligibility, usage limits, and expiry. If valid, the credits are added instantly; if not, you’ll see why it failed.
- Check your updated balance and the new transaction in history.
- They may have usage limits, expiry dates, or be restricted to specific events.
- Promotional credits are consumed before paid credits where allowed.
- If you cancel an order that used promotional credits, refunds follow the same percentage logic and return to the promotional balance when applicable.
Keep an eye on the promotional/marketing campaigns to get the promotional codes.
Troubleshooting
- Code expired or used up: Try another code or switch to payment gateway.
- Mismatch with expected amount: Codes can carry fixed amounts (for example, 100 credits) or conditions. Check the campaign details.
- Service on hold: Applying a valid code can lift a hold if it covers pending charges.
